"Flatten the Curve" was predicated on the notion of hospitals being overwhelmed. Stay Home/Stay Safe was the badge in 2020. Meanwhile occasionally you would see people who went to hospitals to take pictures of empty parking lots. Occasionally there might have been tents set up outside the hospitals for the alleged influx of all the walking dead (some Georgia humor) that may enter there.
Aside from statistics and hearsay, and stories of elderly with flu like symptoms who did not have the flu who nonetheless recovered, there was no actual video footage of widespread hospital gatherings where parking lots were bursting, and cops were directing traffic to overspill lots and shuttle buses deployed to properly process Covid patients.
I realize now the answer should have been "then healthcare better." The answer was not to isolate and mitigate. It was to face and overcome. By the "isolation/mitigation" protocol we opened up the op to continue. And continue it did.
I make it a point to know about "Kill Gates" as he appears to be anti-human in everything he does, while denying all and spending millions (perhaps billions) on various nefarious schemes.
