Many people on the right tend to automatically doubt information from sources of authority and more easily believe sources from the fringes. The opposite can be said for many left-wing people which is an equally serious problem as well.

1) Mutate virus in lab
2) Develop and deploy vaccine with government
3) Deploy mutated virus into the population
4) The mutated virus will be more adapted except it will be stopped more effectively by the vaccine. This may result in artificially negative outcomes for the unvaccinated.
Every drug company does this as part of their research, and is needed to understand the virus and its ability to mutate.
