FREEDOM: Italy will begin SCRAPPING restrictions

Italy was among the first countries in Europe that introduced restrictions as it was the main place where the pandemic first spread in the continent.

Now after almost two years of strict restrictions, Italy has announced they will begin to remove restrictions. This comes after many other countries in Europe, like Sweden, Denmark, Norway and England have announced removal of restrictions.

Covid passports…

The much talked about covid passports in Italy, also called ”green pass”, have sparked massive protests in the country that have lasted since summer. Hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets to protest against strict covid passport requirements, with almost 8 months of constant protests every weekend.

The rules have been very strict, with only those vaccinated or recovered being allowed to go to restaurants, gyms and use public transport.

It started with the ”green pass” which required people to either be recovered, tested negative or vaccinated. But after a while they introduced something new. A ”super green pass”, which would only allow the vaccinated or recovered.

People being denied many aspects of daily life because of their medical status. But that is now changing.

Scrapping use of covid passports.

Now the government has announced they are beginning to scrap the use of covid passports. For example, people will no longer need it for going to restaurants, gyms and public transport from 1st of May.

People over the age of 50 have also been banned from working if they were not vaccinated, however that is expiring on the 1st of April. They will then be able to work with just a regular ”green pass”, meaning they can get tested if they are not vaccinated.

So, for months now, people have been banned from going to work because of their medical status. Now all of a sudden they are doing a U-turn and allowing them back. Huh.

Let me get this straight. Up until the 31st of March, they aren’t allowed to go to work. But on the 1st of April, it is suddenly safe for them to go to work again. Makes perfect sense!

Italy will also be scrapping the use of face masks after April 30th. All of this will come several months after Scandinavia, where restrictions have already been scrapped and life is going on like normal, without society collapsing.

Is this finally the beginning of the end of the restrictions, or do you think they will return later?

I remain very suspicious with respect to the sudden dropping of mandates, including in Ontario, Canada. Alas, my daughter in Ontario remains banned from her university campus, as do I from my college campus, at least until April. My husband is a federal worker, and still on leave w/o pay. I want to hope the "over-lords" have come to their senses, but it has all been so coordinated (once again).
