I think it is a very dangerous path. How will elderly people manage this digital ID. Most people do have a smartphone but they certainly don't. Or will Governments just hand it out to them for free? I will not use my biometrics for Government to control me. They say it is for security, it isn't. It is total control of every second of life. It is not anyone's business what we are doing 24/7 that is our individual right.
It doesn't matter what we think. They will mandate it.....or they will force the financial institutions to mandate it.
Like the reluctance to use checks or even going back to the reluctance to use paper money.......it did not matter what the people thought. No choices...that was made for them. We are not as free as we like to say.
