As long as these tyrannical governments see a way forward that ends in greater power, they do not care how it’s obtained. Mandates, human rights abuses, nihilism, you name it. I will not be dropping my guard in the future and I don’t believe anyone else should believe it’s over either. Remember it’s consistently an external force fault and always for the better good.

Where I live in British Columbia, Canada, the vaccine mandate stays in place until April 8 for reasons no one can figure out. I'm actually skeptical they'll ever lift the requirement.

Is it a vaccine mandate or is it covid passports? How does it work where you live?

It's a Covid passport. Good distinction. Our public health officer actually calls it a "vaccine card" program. As if it's no big deal.

Showing the passport (QR code scanned by another person's phone) is required for most indoor gatherings and events. Restaurants, cinemas, gyms, meditation, pet therapy, swimming pools -- these are only for the vaxxed. Even many church services were reserved for the 'clean' (the 'unclean' can go back to their computers to pray).

The program does acknowledge some grounds for exemption (anaphylaxis, for example) but not many.

One of the universities in my province attempted to deregister its unvaxxed students recently, until the local medical authority (in Vancouver) openly declared there is no scientific basis for segregation by vaccination status. The university changed course after receiving that letter (fortunately!). But even our "institutions of higher learning" are tempted to cater to fear instead of using data and evidence to guide their decisions.

It's worth noting that my fellow citizens seem to love the program. And that's why I believe it will return, even if they cancel it at some point.

During yesterday's update, the public health officer continually compared my province to other jurisdictions, both within Canada and beyond. I think this is now some sort of a competition for her.

I have to go to Vancouver (from the free state Florida) for work the week of March 30th and I feel like I'm going to a prison.

The freedom of Florida seems like a dream to me.

I forgot to add that vaccination is to become a condition of licensure for health care and para health care workers (dentists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, etc) in British Columbia.

I still can not believe that you all kept Trudeau in office. For sure Biden did NOT win here, it was stolen.

Expand full comment

Um, yeah, that was jaw-dropping for me too.

Canada's population is ~38M.

Trudeau's party won only 5.6M votes; the other major party won 5.7M votes. Yet, with our system, Trudeau is seen as our legitimate Prime Minister with dictator-like power.

Our democracy is a farce.

Not to mention he "bailed out" all the media (except one) with public dollars, so they are all beholden to him and his party and the ruling elite.

Of course they will bring back mandates of some kind to get people into their technocracy. Apparently the WHO is working on a treaty to deal with pandemics.

Digital cash is definitely something that is coming in the not so far future...

Agreed. I'm not in the camp that believes the vax passports were intended as a stepping stone to digital ID and digital cash. But I think we were all surprised by how enthusiastically so many embraced the vax passes and, presumably, would be very supportive of digital cash. The vax pass uptake (at least where I live) showed how little resistance there will be.

In Scandinavia digital ID is already widespread in use. Here I must have one in order to do online banking and buy things online. And many other things. Perhaps I should do an article about it in the future!

Yes please! Two years ago, I wouldn't have been very concerned about digital ID. But the vaccine passports have woken me up to what's at stake. I'd really appreciate hearing your experience with digital ID.

Peter next week in Germany the parliament is going to force through mandatory vaccination for those 18 years old and above. They are not really planning on getting rid of mandates.

All of these sudden coordinated U-turns in overturning mask and vax Mandates are very suspicious to me. These ppl have never followed science so why would they start suddenly now that "Omicron has appeared to end the pandemic"? If you notice, almost all these countries are leaving in place the possibility of coming back to & re-enforcing these mandates in the future when another deadly variant or virus appears. (As Bill Gates has promised there WILL be a more deadly virus in the future). If you ask me, they're just "giving us a break" & then when we've let our guard down, they'll start all over again with the next one. That's why criminal charges must be made now against all who've instigated & perpetuated this global medical tyranny & we must pass laws to prevent this from ever happening again, as well as get into office leaders who are strong protectors of individual rights.

Amazingly, I don't think anything will happen. You are right about Bill Gates. He basically said that in January. Can not stand him, and that's putting it nicely since it is Sunday & church day.
