The science has changed AGAIN - Face masks were useless
Turns out that we have been lied to...
I remember a few years ago at the very beginning of covid, just as all the pandemic hysteria was beginning to stir people into a frenzy. The health experts went out in the media demanding that everyone was to wear face masks as they promised it would definitely help!
We had Fauci and all the others constantly talking about wearing not only one mask, but double masking and even triple masking. Some people even had a regular face mask on top of their N95 mask. Other people looked like total fools wearing weird plastic shields over their head.
At the very beginning I thought to myself maybe the face masks would help stop the spread of covid, well, this was before I had really looked into it in detail and realized the masks were completely useless. As soon as I realized they did nothing, I refused to wear a face mask.

But most people did not think for themselves, they just went along with the message, wearing face diapers because the experts and government told them so.
Turns out however that the science has now changed!
A newly published study in the respected Cochrane Library has found that face masks actually does nothing to prevent the spread of illness. The interesting part here is that several of the studies cited in this report is from during the 2009 swine flu pandemic, so here we have data from long ago included.
Looking at data from 12 different trials, they found that wearing medical/surgical masks did more or less nothing to stop the spread of both covid and other influenza like illnesses.
”Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of laboratory-confirmed influenza/SARS-CoV-2 compared to not wearing masks”
Wow, this is bombshell news. Looks like the science has changed. Face masks are now officially useless.
But what about the more advance N95 masks?
Surely they would help prevent the spread of covid?
They found with low certainty evidence that the N95 masks may be effective for influenza like illness compared with regular face masks, however…
”The use of a N95/P2 respirators compared to medical/surgical masks probably makes little or no difference for the objective and more precise outcome of laboratory-confirmed influenza infection”
In other words, even the N95 masks don’t really do much.
But that was not all they looked at in the study. They also looked at hand hygiene. What about washing your hands and using hand sanitizers constantly, did that have any effect?
This didn’t look at hand hygiene against covid in particular, but rather looked at how it affected influenza like illnesses.
”Pooled data showed that hand hygiene may be beneficial with an 11% relative reduction of respiratory illness...In absolute terms this benefit would result in a reduction from 200 events per 1000 people to 178 per 1000 people”.
So it appears that washing your hand does have a small effect in preventing the spread of respiratory illnesses in general.
I have no doubt that face masks did absolutely nothing in preventing the spread of covid, but I want to include this authors conclusion of the study. They say that high risk of bias and relatively low adherence with interventions hampers their ability to draw firm conclusions.
”There is uncertainty about the effects of face masks. The low to moderate certainty of evidence means our confidence in the effect estimate is limited...There pooled results of RCTs did not show a clear reduction in respiratory viral infection with the use of medical/surgical masks. There were no clear differences between the use of medical/surgical masks compared with N95/P2 respirators in healthcare workers...Hand hygiene is likely to modestly reduce the burden of respiratory illness”
So there you have it. Seems like face masks and N95 respirators are USELESS in preventing the spread of not only covid, but also other illnesses like the flu.
Hand hygiene did appear to have a small effect in stopping respiratory illnesses, but I think if you only looked at covid, it would probably have a negligent effect.
The Norwegian Health Institute has already said that hand hygiene had a low effect on covid infection, meaning that using hand sanitizers like a maniac during covid did in fact do nothing. It probably did more harm than good as the hand sanitizers is really bad for your skin and makes them dry, crack and bleed.
But this was obvious to anyone who did some thinking for themselves. The face masks are not airthight, not even the N95, so everytime you breathe lots of air goes in and out in the gaps. Also, the covid virus itself is so incredibly small that it can go through the face mask itself.
Besides, covid can infect people through the eyes, so if you wear a face mask you better wear googles as well! It would be like putting sunscreen on just your body but not on your face. If you are going to mask up, better do it properly and look like a complete fool at the same time! Why not just use a gas mask, then you might actually have some real protection from getting sick compared with the face diapers!
Another thing that people don’t think about with face masks is that they are actually pretty un-hygienic. You wear that thing all day and you got hours worth of filth on the inside of your mask, and it’s all moist and warm. Perfect place for bacteria. Then you breathe that in!
That’s the incredible part of all this. Logic went out through the window, nobody thought that maybe, just maybe these face masks were no good.
In fact, 20 years ago logic was still around. Shops in Australia back in 2003 were warned about not exaggerating the health benefits of face masks to cash in on people afraid of SARS, shops risking massive fines.
Fast forward 20 years and suddenly face masks are pushed on everyone despite no evidence that they stop disease.
I will not wear the face masks. I will be free and I will be happy!
