Actually you were warned when the wave of migrants from Syria were actually mostly young men from Africa. Sweden was warned not to take on people from this background or religion as the country and it's culture was not ready for assimilation. Simply put, Sweden should not have welcomed everyone with open arms. Love, pateience, and generosity do not cure millennia of in grained belief systems. You were warned and those people were called racist. We watched the disease rate increase and those people were called racist. Violence overnight to your women and children yet your authorities decided it was no big deal. Democracy is it's own special issue but flat out ignoring reality is insane. People around the world knew this would happen.
The problem with mass immigration from third world countries is that there was never any plan B if it didn't work. Deportations are incredibly difficult and rare. Basically, the politicians said "we are going to import all these people from different cultures, ethnicity, language and religion from us - it will be wonderful." But if it all goes wrong? No answer. Even worse, if deportations were used against serious offences, the rest of the community would behave better, and everyone would benefit.

After reading this. I went on to Expressen's website. I had to scroll down past an article on the important subject of "vegetarisk korv" (!) and a a dispute between Blac Chyna and the Kardashians to finally reach a leading article on the burning of the Koran. Expressen's "take" was a little strange. Instead of a strong condemnation of Islamic fascism (I understand that the term is not permissible in Sweden), the leader merely pointed out that burning books is less serious than violent rioting. Even SvD relegated the riots to fifth place after three articles on Russia/Ukraine and one on immigrants being hit harder by Covid than indigenous Swedes.
I find it very telling that none of the commenters have named the culprit by its actual name. Refugees, immigrants, migrants, gangs, foreigners. No, Muslims! Muslims damn it. You can't fight the enemy unless you know its true nature. MUSLIMS.
I'm an American and I don't understand why no one seems to be blaming America for using Europe as a dumping ground for refugees from countries destroyed by American wars and coups. On a per capita basis, the U.S. has taken in a far less percentage of refugees than European/Nordic countries.
