VIDEO: Farmers protest spreading to Belgium and Germany

It began in the Netherlands, with tens of thousands of farmers engaging in large protests against the new government climate plans to reduce nitrogen emissions.

A whopping 11 200 farms will be forced to shut down to meet the climate goals in the Netherlands, something that the farmers have been very unhappy with.

Farmers in the Netherlands even sprayed manure on the town hall in protest! You can read my previous article on that here and also see the video:

Netherlands to SHUT DOWN 11 200 farms to meet climate goals
If you have followed my reporting you probably know about the protests happening in the Netherlands. Tens of thousands of farmers have taken to the streets to protest against new climate goals which will force farmers to shut down their farms. They have set hay bales on fire on motorways and dumped manure and even blocked supermarket distribution centers…

But now farmers in Belgium are protesting.

Not only farmers, but also horticulturists together with students from the Agriculture and Horticulture department of VITO gathered in Hoogstraten with tractors to protest. The Flemish government has drawn up a plan to reduce and limit nitrogen emissions in the future. In other words, just like the Netherlands they are suddenly very concerned about nitrogen for some reason.

And farmers are the ones that are mainly affected by these plans. Most municipal councils however have been unfavorable to it. But the city of Hoogstraten was among the only in the wider region to come with positive advice on this nitrogen plan, causing outrage among farmers.

They set up a blockade in the town center and when the council voted to not withdraw their positive advice to the nitrogen plans, a group of people broke into the Town Hall to protest, for which the police had to intervene (disclaimer, this article does not condone any invading of Town Halls).

”What signal are we sending to those enthusiastic, young farmers in this way? There seems to be little belief in agriculture. We would like to believe that the city wants the best for the farmers...A city like Hoogstraten should stand behind the farmers.” said the farmers and horticulturists.

But it is not only in Belgium.

Today farmers in Germany have taken to the streets to protest as well.

Again I want to point out that we are facing a massive energy crisis in Europe. We are also looking at a food crisis due to the war in Ukraine. We are seeing massive inflation with food prices going up and up.

Yet they want to shut down farms. It doesn’t make any sense. Food will only get more expensive. Just look at the energy crisis we have now as a result of the climate change fanaticism. Instead of building more nuclear power, they built unreliable wind power and now we are seeing insane electricity prices.

Let me tell you what will happen next. They will introduce a meat tax to reduce C02 emissions. Meat will become so expensive it will be a luxury item for the elite. Meanwhile you get to eat cheap bugs and insects...

We will get the same thing happen with food if the climate change fanatics push through these plans that will shut down farmers. Food prices will go up even more than they already have.

But perhaps they want that, maybe they want meat to become so expensive that people cannot afford to eat it (the rich and elite will of course still eat meat). Meanwhile you get to eat the bugs and insects...

The interesting thing about these farmers protest is that it has barely made the news in English speaking media. Why?

So please consider SHARING this article wherever you can to let people know what is happening!

Thank you so much for covering this.

People need to get it that when the government comes for the food we put on our tables we had better all stand up and fight like hell.

I’ve known since the 90’s that we need MORE small scale natural/biodynamic farming not less.

May the European farmers stand strong in the face of tyranny!

It appears to me that the politicians/governments are doubling down instead of listening to the people. The English-speaking media isn't covering it because it's contrary to the overall agenda and does not fit the narrative. At this juncture perhaps the only way for the people to stop the politicians and get their lives back is to take their example from the Sri Lankens.
